Directions to St. Peter The Apostle R.C. Church, Islip Terrace, New York 11752
Eastbound-Long Island Expressway
Long Island Expressway (495/LIE) to exit 56. At the bottom of the ramp,
Wheeler Road, turn right (south) and bear left at the fork. (Do not take
Islip Avenue [111]). Proceed on Wheeler Road until you reach Suffolk
Avenue, which is one block North of the Long Island Railroad. Turn left
(east) on to Suffolk Avenue and proceed until you reach Lowell Avenue.
Turn right (south) on to Lowell and proceed until you reach Greenlawn
Avenue. It cuts into Lowell at a 45° angle on your right. The church is on
your right at the northwest corner of Rockaway Street.
Westbound-Long Island Expressway
Long Island Expressway (495/LIE) to exit 58 to service road. Turn left
(south) on to Nichols Road. Stay on Nichols Road. As you approach the next
major intersection which will be Veterans Memorial Highway keep in the
lane with the arrow indicating straight. Cross Veterans Memorial Highway.
This is now Suffolk Avenue and you will now be traveling west. Stay in the
left lane until you reach Lowell Avenue. Turn left (south) on to Lowell,
stay in left most lane, and proceed until you reach Greenlawn Avenue. It
cuts into Lowell at a 45°angle on your right. The church is on your right
at the northwest corner of Rockaway Street.
Westbound-Southern State Parkway
Southern State Parkway to exit 43a. (Note: This is a new exit and it is
before exit 43.) Come off the exit and turn right (south) on to Spur Drive
North. Turn left (east) at the next intersection, Manhattan Blvd. Go one
block. Turn left north on to Tenth Street, turn right (north) on to
Greenlawn Avenue. (You will pass St. Peter's Rectory on your left at
Valley Stream Street.) Proceed on Greenlawn Avenue until Rockaway Street.
The Church is on the northwest corner.
Eastbound-Southern State Parkway
Southern State Parkway to exit 43a. (Note: This is a new exit and it is
after exit 43.) Come off the exit and turn left (south) on to Spur Drive
South. Turn left (east) at the next intersection, Manhattan Blvd. Go pass
Spur Drive North one block. Turn left (north) on to Tenth Street, turn
right north on to Greenlawn Avenue. (You will pass St. Peter's Rectory on
your left at Valley Stream Street.) Proceed on Greenlawn Avenue until
Rockaway Street. The Church is on the northwest corner.
Eastbound and Westbound Sunrise Highway
Sunrise Highway (27) exit at Connetquot Avenue. Turn north on to
Connetquot. Bear right at the fork and proceed until Rockway Street. Turn
left (east) on to Rockaway Street and proceed two blocks. The Church is on
the northwest corner.
